Weekly News about NASA Lego

Apparently Lego has told people about a new set of figurines to honour about five female who are scientists, the engineers and astronauts who are working for the NASA. To show them they are releasing the figures of the pioneering women.

NASA hopes it will inspire more scientist who are girls to pursue careers in science. They include computer scientist Margaret Hamilton, astronaut Sally Ride and Katherine Johnson are one of the three black female mathematicians who work on the Space program in the 1960s from the US. It is captured in the Oscar-nominated film of the Hidden Figures.  

The sets will have a feature of mini version of the Hubble Space Telescope that was sent to space in 1990 so they could collect data and aswell take photos.It will include space shuttle with rocket boosters and other instruments used during the historic space missions like Apollo or Mercury.
The number of women involved in science, technology and engineering. Research has significantly increased in the past few years. They still are underrepresented in science and they account for only 30 percent of the world’s researchers, that’s what the United Nations say.
